Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 August 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Curator ("App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the App, which provides film analyses generated via the OpenAI API and displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

2. Advertisements

The App is monetised through Google AdMob. Ads may be contextual or, with your consent, personalised. You can withdraw consent for personalised ads at any time in Settings → Privacy. Advertisements are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content.

3. Free Analyses

You may access a rotating catalogue of free film analyses at no charge. We can modify or replace the free catalogue at any time without notice.

4. Subscriptions & In‑App Purchases

Access to premium content requires a weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription processed by Apple In‑App Purchase via Adapty. Subscription fees will be charged to your Apple ID account and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

5. Analytics & Crash Reporting

We collect aggregate, de‑identified usage statistics and crash logs using PostHog, Firebase, Google Analytics, and Google AdMob. See the Privacy Policy for details, including how to opt out. You agree not to input sensitive personal data that could be inadvertently captured in analytics events.

6. User Obligations

You must use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including all code, design elements, and generated content, is owned by Curator or its licensors. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App.

8. Third‑Party Services & Liability

The App depends on third‑party services (Google AdMob, PostHog, Firebase, Adapty, OpenAI, DigitalOcean). We are not liable for any damages arising from their unavailability or malfunction. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curator’s liability shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for the most recent subscription period.

9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting [email protected]. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Warsaw.

10. Modifications

We may revise these Terms. Updated Terms become effective 14 days after posting in the App. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
